Challenge yourself, with LED Sabre skills
Sabres Masters is an LED sabre school, teaching mindfulness movement techniques , combat moves for exercise and fitness based on traditional western sword arts, particularly those of the medieval hand and half. We work towards knowledge of yourself, our feeling and fitness as well as safe, controlled sparring and combat for those who wish to follow that route. For those less interested in combat and more interested in fitness and mindfulness we teach sabre flow work. We also do displays which use different techniques including stage combat work.
We train and spar with LED sabres, designed any manufactured by our core team in the main, but other combat or flow safe sabres are welcome, depending on your prefered route.
The school has sabres for newcomers to hire, but we recommend bringing gloves and safety glasses if you wish to spar once you start coming regularly. Adults/ and child/carer pairs welcome.
What we do
Sabre Masters , has designed and made it's own LED sabre specifically for combat and learning to fight with LED sabres. It is ergonomically designed to help you place your hands correctly and finely balanced to allow easy movements from all participants.
Sabre Masters teaches regular classes in Leicestershire, we also offer displays, workshops, team building events and parties.
ACTIVITIES
INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY SESSIONS
Individual and family, therapeutic sessions are available with our sabre instructors.
These would be facilitated by an accredited adult and child psychotherapist and a trauma informed mindfulness practitioner.
SABRE PARTIES
Parties for adults or children .
You provide the venue we provide the sessions and equipment.
SCHOOLS
Working with pupils to develop risk assessment and mindfulness skills in a fun activity with qualified practitioners.
Our interventions have been shown to increase CYP's risk assessment and coping skills.
TEAM BUILDING
LED sabre training is a unique and thrilling form of team building that boosts morale, increases cooperation, and reveals amazing skills that your colleagues have kept hidden until now. Training in mindfulness movement is an excellent team building experience that can be held during regular business hours. After you complete the course, you can receive a short analysis of your most used strategies.

What is an LED Sabre?
Inspired by the medieval hand and a half sword and popular science fiction, LED sabres combine light and sound effects to create a safe means to enacting this martial art form. Our sabres are not toys they are designed and manufactured for combat and flow, depending on the model chosen.
How much does a session cost?
On completion of our beginner's course further sessions can be block booked in blocks of six for Leicestershire. They are £55 per person (by bank transfer) . Sabre hire is £ 25 per block. We also do occasional taster sessions at £25 per hour.
You will need your own safety glasses & gloves to spar. You may bring your own sabre for approval or hire one of ours. We also sell sabres.
Block booking or courses run for the dates specified for for six sessions, from the start date. They are non transferable. Generally we cannot offer refunds or extra sessions for non attendance
How long does a session last?
We train for one hour at our weekly classes.
Who can attends sessions?
Session are for adults and young people over 10 paired with their parent, carer or other responsible adult.
How long is a party?
The parties run for two hours. One hour training one hour mini tournament.
Equipment
You will need to provide your own safety equipment; glasses & gloves.
You can use your own sabres, if approved. or hire a sabre.
How much are parties and team events?
From £350 and for a maximum of ten people. Includes instructor, equipment and insurance. Please ask for a quote based on your requirements.
You need to supply a suitable venue.

Do I need to book in advance?
Parties & Team events are pre-booking only. You are welcome to visit our weekly classes, by prior arrangement.

Only one discount type can be applied per booking. Please note only paid places are guaranteed a place at any session, due to equipment and safety considerations.
Lessons are in blocks on six and must be paid for prior to the first session of each block. Blocks start on set days for all. Cancellations are non refundable, but we can accomodate holiday breaks if these are advised before the block starts and 4 weeks before the break. This is due to the cancellation policy of the hall.
